Maternal and Child Health Initiative

Nigeria accounted for 29% of global maternal deaths, representing more than a quarter of such fatalities worldwide. This is an estimated total of 75,000 women dying annually across the country from childbirth-related causes, translating into one death every seven minutes. This is why the Restored Heart Foundation launched the Maternal and Child Health Initiative (MCHI) to address this health challenge. Since the project launch in Plateau State in September 2025, we have recruited, trained, and deployed primary healthcare workers across two health facilities at Gassa and Chit communities, where they currently provide medical support to pregnant women, nursing mothers, and adolescent girls. We have further provided free medical supplies to the two primary healthcare centres, as well as medical equipment (delivery beds, etc.)

Education

Teacher Bank Project

Across underserved communities, thousands of students are eager to learn but lack access to qualified teachers. The Teacher Bank Project (TBP) by the Restored Heart Foundation is changing the narrative. TBP is improving learning outcomes, expanding access to quality education, and shaping brighter futures for over 4,000 students across multiple states. From classrooms to career pathways, TBP is not just filling gaps; it is building systems that last from teacher deployment to leveraging the TBP App.

Reproductive Health

Tiko x RHF Partnership

Across underserved communities in Abuja and Kuje, the Restored Heart Foundation partners with Tiko an African nonprofit transforming adolescent health through technology and stigma-free care. RHF deploys trained mobilizers who work directly with Rafikas (vulnerable and out-of-school adolescent girls and young women), connecting them to sexual and reproductive health information and quality services through the Tiko App.Since June 2025, this partnership has enrolled 11,127 girls on the Tiko ecosystem, with 21,329 health services accessed tackling the triple threat of teenage pregnancy, HIV infection, and gender-based violence one community at a time.One girl reached is impact. Thousands reached is systems change.

Mental Health

Mental Health First Aider Fellowship

In a country where millions face mental health challenges with limited access to support, the Mental Health First-Aider Fellowship (MHFF) is equipping young leaders to step in, speak up, and make a difference.From over 145 applicants, 25 fellows were selected, trained, and empowered to lead real change. Today, their impact is reaching schools, hospitals, and communities, breaking stigma, and expanding access to mental health support where it’s needed most. This is more than a fellowship; it’s a movement for awareness, action, and care.
