Refund Policy

Restored Heart Foundation (“RHF”, “we”, “us”) is a non-profit organization, and donations made through our website are voluntary contributions used to fund our healthcare, education, and empowerment programs. This Refund Policy explains when a donation may be eligible for a refund and how to request one.

1. General Policy

Because donations directly support ongoing community programs, all gifts are generally considered final and non-refundable once processed. However, we recognize that genuine payment errors can happen, and we will review refund requests made in good faith on a case-by-case basis.

2. Eligible Circumstances

We will consider a refund request if it falls within one of the following categories, and is reported within 7 days of the transaction date:

• You were charged more than once for the same donation.
• You were charged an incorrect amount due to a technical error.
• The transaction was unauthorized or made without your consent (e.g. your card or account was used fraudulently).
• A clear, demonstrable error occurred during the checkout process.

3. How to Request a Refund

To request a refund, please email info@therhfoundation.org with the following information:

• Full name used for the donation
• Date and approximate time of the transaction
• Payment reference or receipt/transaction ID
• Reason for the refund request

We aim to acknowledge all refund requests within 5 business days.

4. Processing Time

Approved refunds are processed back to the original payment method through our payment processor, Flutterwave. Once approved, refunds are typically initiated within 5–10 business days. Depending on your bank or card issuer, it may take additional time for the funds to reflect in your account.

5. Non-Refundable Circumstances

Donations are generally not refundable where funds have already been allocated or disbursed to a program, where the request is based solely on a change of mind, or where the request is made outside the 7-day window described above.
